Welcomed by the guide, you will start your trip with the transfer, crossing reclaimed areas, which once these wetlands were the testimonial of the big Campidano's Rift. Along the way, you will see seaside landscapes with lot of birds and lake plants. Heading towards south, we will reach a typical fisher town: Marceddì. It is an enchanted place, well known for its small houses, used as storage for the boat called Cius (typical boats with a flat bottom). Marceddì is also famous for the quality of its fish production: shellfish and mullet, used for the famous Bottarga: Sardinian gold. After we will pass over the ancient one-lane bridge, we will reach the Costa Verde (Green Coast). It is an uncontaminated and unique place, lashed by the mistral, which bend trees. Arrived at the sixteenth Spanish Tower of “Flumentorgiu”, to dominate 40 km of the Green Coast, we will enjoy a swim in the crystal Mare di Sardegna or a walk in the famous sand dunes of Pistis Beach.

We continue towards south, of the west side of Monte Arcuentu, and we will reach Genna Serapis Path, in the nineteenth century village of Montevecchio Mine (abandoned since several years, but important for the “Parco Geominerario Storico e Ambientale della Sardegna” and the “European Geoparks”. Here, between forests populated by the “Sardinian Deer”, we will have our lunch. From workers humbles houses, to rich direction building, you can follow the guide for a visit of Montevecchio Mine. On the return, in the afternoon there will be a pleasant gastronomic surprise, before to end our tour and go back at the Hotel, through the countryside and villages of S. Nicolò d’Arcidano and Terralba.

Begrüßt von dem Reiseführer, beginnt die Entdeckung des Gebiets, auf ungewöhnliche Straßen. Kurz darauf, nach die typische Kuhställe, erreichen wir die Küstenlagunen reiche an Vogelleben und See Flora. Richtung Süden erreicht man ein malerischen Fischerdorf: Marceddì. Bunte Häuser für die Lagerung von Netzen und Holzbooten (mit flachem Boden: cius), sondern auch für die erste Fischverarbeitung (einschließlich der berühmten Bottarga von Meeräsche). Kurz darauf sind wir in die Costa Verde, unbefleckt und einzigartig wie nur wenige andere Orte. Gepeitscht vom Mistral, der hier beugt und modelliert die Bäume und Sträucher, ist dieses Gebiet übersät mit Bergbaugebäude. Wir kommen zu dem sechzehnten Jahrhundert aragonesischen Turm „von Flumertorgiu“, der 40 km von Costa Verde dominiert und bald baden wir im kristallklaren Meer von Sardinien, hinter den goldenen Dünenfeldern in der Pistis Strand. Man fährt am westlichen Abhang des Berges Arcuentu, Genna Serapis zu erreichen, ein Dorf der neunzehnten Bergwerk Montevecchio (jetzt von Zeit verlassen, aber wichtige Bestandteil der „Geo-Bergbau Park von Sardinien“ und „European Geoparks „). Hier, unter dem frischen Wald, von sardischen Hirsch bevölkert, essen wir unser Lunchpaket. Es ist fakultativ auch eine Führung in Museen machen, von den bescheidenen Häusern der Arbeiter, auf den luxuriösen Palast dem Direktor (1 ticket inbegriffen). Am Nachmittag schenkt die Ruckfahrt durch die ländlichen Gebiete und die Dörfer San Nicolo und Terralba eine ansprechende gastronomische Überraschung.

Accolti dalla Guida Turistica, la scoperta del territorio, su strade inconsuete, inizia non appena usciti dal Villaggio. Nel breve, le tipiche vaccherie, lasceranno spazio a lagune costiere ricche di avifauna e flora lacustre. Diretti a sud si giunge in un caratteristico borgo dei pescatori: Marceddì. Variopinte casette per il rimessaggio delle reti e delle barchette di legno (a fondo piatto: cius), ma anche per la prima lavorazione del pescato (tra cui le famose bottarghe di muggine). Poco dopo, si è nella Costa Verde. Incontaminata ed unica come pochi altri luoghi. Sferzata dal maestrale, che qui prostra e modella alberi ed arbusti, è punteggiata di emergenze di archeologia mineraria. Giungiamo alla cinquecentesca Torre aragonese “di Flumertorgiu”, per dominare gli oltre 40km della Costa Verde, e poco dopo regalarci un tuffo nel cristallino mare di Sardegna, con alle spalle i dorati campi dunali della spiaggia di Pistis. Si riparte abbarbicandosi sul versante occidentale del Monte Arcuentu, per giungere, al passo di Genna Serapis, nel borgo dell’ottocentesca Miniera Montevecchio (oramai da tempo abbandonata, ma parte essenziale del “Parco Geominerario Storico e Ambientale della Sardegna” e di “European Geoparks”). Qui, tra i freschi boschi popolati dal Cervo Sardo, si consumerà il packed lunch. Dalle umili abitazioni degli operai, al lussuoso palazzo della direzione, sarà facoltativo effettuare una visita guidata anche dei percorsi musealizzati (1 ticket incluso). Il rientro pomeridiano vi regalerà una piacevole sorpresa gastronomica, prima di chiudere il percorso ad anello ritornando al Villaggio, attraverso le aree campestri ed i paesini di S. Nicolò d’Arcidano e Terralba.
